New Year adventure - Our stay in the lodge was fantastic, very nice and spacious rooms, nice garden, wonderful view of the ocean. Frank and his team did an excellent job, everyone was very helpful and friendly. The location is almost perfect, you can find many activities in or nearby, we enjoyed the bicycle tour, canopy, zipline as well as the hiking very much.

This is just to say thank you for going the extra mile with the organizing, my stay at Misty Mountain was extra-ordinary!!!  

Here's why... 

Upon my arrival at approximately 19h00 on Tuesday evening (heavy rains on the road, and I managed NOT to get lost!) I was greeted by Frank and an umbrella. He gave me a quick tour of Lourie, he then offered to carry my bags to the cabin! (Super!) What totally astonished me was the hospitality, I had not arranged for dinner, however Frank took the liberty of adding us to the dinner-list as he had correctly assumed that we would have intended to braai, but that our meal idea was slightly curbed by the rain :-). My wife and I were served by "Rentia" if I correctly remember, what a pleasure to be served a warm meal by a smile! 

After dinner we retired to the Lourie, and this is where the effort was amazing, thank you to everyone at Misty Mountain for the Rose petals and hibiscus blooms in the bath, the tea-candles, Lindt chocolate and the so wisely selected bottle of champagne! This has been the best treatment we have ever received anywhere!

The "clean up crew" did a superb job every morning, and their honesty was somewhat astonishing, as I accidentally left some money lying around - and when I returned the evening I found the coins neatly stacked on the coffee table! :-)

Breakfast in the mornings was divine, and every morning I was greeted with a smile, even the old colored man who was varnishing wood at the poolside greeted us with a real smile, we had a good chat, what great staff!

Rose was always available with information, and went out of her way to have a few items of our clothing washed and neatly ironed... and then delivered to our cabin! WOW!

The information, the enchanted walk (behind Dove Cabin) to look out was really a nice surprise! The view of the ocean, forest and immaculate terrain made us feel as though we were on a private island!

I had great chats to Dustin who I met on about the second day, he and Frank really had a great deal of knowledge of the area, and this resulted in my wife and I covering the following activities during our four day stay: Enchanted walk on Misty, Tree Top Canopy Tours, Finebush Farm for cheese, The Fernery, Tsitsikama National Park twice - suspension bridge and boat trip to the Storm's River Mouth, Bloukrans Bridge, Storm's River Bridge, and a heck of a lot more.. ! The one dark haired girl's name has seemed to elude me, but thank you to her too for the friendly service!

We enjoyed every moment at Misty Mountain Reserve, we were treated like royalty, yet felt so very much at home, thank you to all at Misty who played such a vital role in ensuring that our first stay at Misty was a memorable one!

And, Annalize, thank you for the constant communication, fast booking and always keeping me up to date!

You are all a top-class-bunch! (Please convey this to Val!) Definately see you soon...!
